Hi everyone! I’m 90% sure I sexed these 3 correctly, but I need some confirmation. I know only time will tell 100%- whether they lay or not.... but for 4 week olds- do you think I’m right??
Marshmallow- black and white chick
I’m 90% sure he is a cockerel. He’s the favorite of my kids because he is friendly and brave. He has challenged my older hens when we’ve let them see each other for short amounts of time- and flys at my face. He’s got black and white feathers and in the past week has sprouted red ones on his shoulders and back. He’s not getting his feathers as quickly as his sisters, and stands upright. He is the top of the pecking order in my new batch of chicks and keeps everyone in line. His comb gets pinker everyday
Pebbles- orange colored chest
She’s shy and flighty, but gentle. She’s got the tiniest comb of the 3, with no pink color whatsoever. She crouches and never challenges anyone. She’s my favorite
Becky- darker brown chick
She is shy and flighty, and likes to be by marshmallow all the time. She challenges the other chicks sometimes. She does have a larger bumpy comb- with very little color, but she has most of her feathers and no red whatsoever. I think she may be the top pullet in the group, or maybe a slower developing cockerel??
what do you think??
