Have a Easter Egger egg mystery for everyone!
My one and only EE has laid both pale green AND pale blue eggs! She started laying almost 3 weeks ago at about 9 months and her eggs were decidedly pale green according to an universal color wheel. Today she laid a definite pale blue one!
6-7 days ago I started feeding my 3 bird flock a different hen ration, changing from a well-respected locally manufactured feed (with decades and decades of experience with hen feed) to Purina Layena. Could this different hen chow be the reason for the color change?
