Easter Eggers from Nature's Hatchery

Quote:
They are closed for the season, not out of business. I got an email from them two days ago regarding my order from last year.

Try to go to there site, it has been disabled. It was there a few days ago, but now it's been disabled. I have never heard of a hatchery disabling a site just cause there closed for a season. Like I said it was just up a few days ago.

Nature's Hatchery website is still disabled:/ I have a pending order but my credit card has not been charged. I received conflicting emails in January:eek:ne said they were closed for the season and one was an order confirmation with a message that I would be contacted with an estimated ship date. I am unsure as to how to proceed: cancel the card or wait until I am contacted again? Does anyone have any more information as of February 2011?

I've been calling just about every other day, nothing but their voicemail. Left several messages, emails and faxes.

To be clear - we've known their customer service has been extremely lacking, it really seems like there are only 2 people who handle customers there. However, the birds I have gotten from them have been excellent and they are the only place that has what I am looking to get in 2011.

I am in the same position. The order I placed was exactly what I was looking for in 2011 so I am not anxious to give up just yet. Up to this point, I had read positive reviews about the hatchery. If you get any confirmation as to their business status, please post. Much appreciated!

Something else to think about: A website 'being disabled' doesn't always mean that the company is out of business. Their hosting contract could have fallen through, the hosting company could have raised their rates and the company/customer decides not to pay, etc. Website Disabled is the hosting company's phrase, not the hatchery. Note that their fax and phone numbers are still active and their PO box has not been re-assigned (says their local PO office when I called last week).

Nature's Hatchery is located in Naperville, IL. I don't know if you've been watching the news lately, but that area was pretty hammered with winter storms last week. Multi-day school closings, all those cars being snowed in on Lakeshore Drive... It isn't a pleasant time of year to live in northern IL.

That being said, does anyone know where I can find straight-run partridge wyandottes? Hopefully from a place that also sells gold-laced cochins? I guess is there's a breeder who sells eggs that would work too.
