4. I have a rooster who was the only chicken to hatch so I brooded it with the khaki campbells.... it thinks it's a duck. Lives with the ducks... "loves" the ducks. Won't "love" a chicken! I have tried to get him interested in one of the hens... nope. It wants ducks. So, your husband may be right. If it really comes down to it... TSC has ducklings, but you will have to buy two and take whatever they have. I can still do the hatching eggs for you too. I'm off this Friday, Sat, and Sunday... so just let me know. I'll give them to you free.

Well if it is a goose it WILL be coming to live with you!!! I guess I will take you up on those duck eggs after all. I just hope I do better at hatching ducks than I do hatching chicks. I put 36 eggs in the bator on 3-30-10 and they STILL haven't hatched. Not a single one. I'm getting ready to toss them I guess. Can you give me GOOD advise on how to hatch the duck eggs? I just have the basic styrofoam incubator and an auto turner.

Sweets is doing VERY well. Growing FAST and eating, drinking and poopin up a storm. I had to move "her" out to the outside pen with the bigger chicks due to picking on my new chicks but no worrie cause there is still a heatlamp out there. She actually seemed to like it alot and ate grass instantly. When do ducklings get feathers?

Yeah, I can help you with duck eggs. It's easier, if you ask me. Almost everything is the same except a tweek here and there. A secret is to mist the eggs everynight. And of course, it takes 28 days instead of 21. I'll start saving you some and have them for the weekend if you like. PM me and I'll give you my cell #
