I remember those dyed chicks, Thom McCann (not sure on the spelling) shoes would give away a free chick if you bought a pair of shoes. It was weird because you would see the chickens weeks later with the dye wearing off running wild in the neighborhood. I must admit as a kid I was guilty of not taking care of my chick. I have changed and really enjoy my chickens.
