So last night I got to hear the beautiful sound of some kind of canine finding the electric fence around the run. All my guys were locked up for the night, so I doubt it could have done any damage, anyway. Is it wrong that I derived joy from their suffering?

Hello all, just found this thread. Just neat to me if there are any chicken folks near the Great Smoky Mountains? Most of my neighbors and aquaintaces don't keep poultry, so I feel alone sometimes. Though they LOVE my girl' eggs. Go figure. So just a shout out I guess, thanks.

Who has used "Ideal" hatchery and what is the general feedback on them??????

Lots of people have good things to say about them. Birds are definitely hatchery quality though, so dont buy from them unless you just want layers.


I ordered 37 bantams from there a couple years ago........got lost in the mail, they showed up a week late, all dead. Not a great experience. Just a fluke but still left a bad taste in my mouth, of course. They were good about giving me a refund.

was researching black java source and ran across an add for them. They dont have blacks and I would not get them from a big hatchery anyway, but was curious about Ideal

PS. You have those lion heads up to slaughter weight yet

The sign went up a couple days ago for our very own TSC!!!!!! We are a real town now, LOL. Ive never been so excited about TSC, until I moved to a town that did not have one that is.
