No the doe is a pointed white. She is white with dark points (feet, nose, ears) and ruby eyes.

Black x pointed white usually gives blacks and pointed whites, I believe.

Come out and see them at the Sparta show tomorrow (today). $20 each (no pedigrees). Cute little babies. Would need to be kept separate until 5 months old if you wanted to breed them.

Bairo, an important thing to remember about the Marek's vaccine is that it does NOT guarantee against Mareks.

Also, it's really only effective on chicks. So you risk the adult flock if you start vacinating chicks. There are some that say it does not shed, but I don't see how it can't if there's no gurantee it can prevent Mareks.

See my point?

The rogue sparrow is a one-in-a-million thing.
If you innoculate, YOU may be the rogue sparrow. (lmao at that visual, btw)

I am not a professional in any way, so make your own decisions please. I've just read up on this and talked to various breeders. My decision is to not vaccinate for anything, and only use antibiotics on injured birds. Sick birds are isolated, and if they don't rally on their own (with very good care and extra vitamins in their feed), they are culled. I want the strongest flock possible as naturally as possible.
This attitude has cost me some gorgeous, SQ birds. But I also know that I'm breeding from the strongest stock possible. I had a little bit of a battle with Mareks early on, but I am delighted with my current flocks of birds! They're tough little boogers, and adorable to boot

Actually that is now the only point that has kept me from vaccinating. I too dont see how it could not shed. Since the vaccine only prevents the symptoms of the disease and does not prevent a chick from being a carrier that should automatically mean that even a vaccinated chick can and will shed the virus. Anything older than about 16 weeks has a much higher resistance and so it may also only be beneficial if you were to have a really big order of young chicks come in at the same time. Of course if I was starting with a 100 chicks, I would have the hatchery do it anyway versus doing it my self.

I don't know if the pointeds are the same with minis and lionheads, but there are black and blue and other color points, it's best to use a blue instead of black with a pointed, it increases the chances of getting blue pointeds (as opposed to black pointeds becasue black is a dominant color I think). I have a blue pointed doe and a black pointed buck

Here is the vid of the 2 day old crow!!
Its on my FB, Sorry. I used my moms phone as mine was charging, it was hard to even get it on FB, Anyway. The black chick in the middle is the crower...He will crow twice, the first one you most likely wont catch it, but hear it, the second time the chick will peck another chick and then crow. Sorry for messy brooder.
