@Beaker.... I'm going to link to that Video from the web site. I had seen it before but I think it is worth posting for some of the new folks.

I'm sure you have seen footage similar to this, but it's worth reminding us all of why many of us got involved with BYC
!

I would beg everyone...please don't buy eggs from the grocery stores :hit

I cry my eyes out every time I see that. I am on a waiting list for abused chickens right now. As soon as my girls start laying( more then just my little bantam that's laying right now lol) I'm going to provide the restaurant where I work with eggs, hopefully I can expand that .

Hey all, I'm looking for one or two nice quality Delaware Roos, if anybody has any for sale please let me know, prefer around the Cleveland, Benton, Athens area but I will consider other areas if not to far from me. I am also interested in some good blue cochin hens, standard size. Chick season has started here so if yall need any just let me know! I've got 18 different breeds now as well as ornimental ducks-mandrians, pintails, ring teals (no babies on these yet but it won't be to long). I will also have 4 varieties of pheasants, turkeys, quineas, and quail as the season.

Check out this neat old incubator I bought, I got it at a really cheap price. It is an old leahly 6 feet high, 5 feet long and 3 feet wide, I figure it will hold around 1200 to 2000 eggs! It works perfectly and has been updated to automatic turning trays and electronic thermostat. It is made of redwood but someone has painted in ugly brown.

Wow poultrylady, what a great find! I bet you'll have more than enough room to start incubating eggs for others!

That has got to be the find of the century. Very nice.

Most of us are happy with a boxed in end table or an old rear projection TV we can modify into an incubator/brooder. I would have had a heart attack to find what you did real cheap.......Congrats

PoultryLady do you sell mandarin ducklings?
I will be selling the ducklings, not just hatched though, I will keep them for a month or so before I sell them.

I am very happy with the big incubator, I don't think I will use it for chicken eggs though, I believe I will use it for quail eggs, I can't imagine how many it will hold, maybe as many as 10,000? I would love to see this big bator totally restored to the redwood with the brown paint taken off, but I really don't see myself doing this, it would be alot of work and I really don't have the time or the know how to do it. I have always wanted one of these old incubators, not really one this big though, but the price was so cheap I could not turn it down. This monster must weigh at least 800 pounds. My husband and I are both in our 50's. It just about killed us getting it off the truck! It is on the screened in back porch now and I quess that is where it will set.
