Well, in case any newbies missed it. There is a get together of the BYCers on April 1st (not a joke!) at Panther Creek State Park at 1pm(?) out in the middle of nowhere (just looked at a map! It's in BFE!!!)

BYOD, and bring something for the group to try! I dunno how many people have planned on going yet... guess barnqueen will have to let us know!

I was trying to keep an informal count and had around 12 that I thought said were coming. Barnqueen may have a better count. Kim and I are bringing Dogs (the kind that go on the grill) leaving Harley at home but she may bring our newest member (chloe the 10 week old chihuahua). Will also probably bring some brats (again....the kind that go on the grill, LOL) and sausages.

We are still on for the 1st I put an announcement a couple pages back. I have heard fro 4-5 people and would really like to hear from others so we can plan and know how much food will be needed. So...everyone who is planning on coming...give out a call.
So far we have burgers, brats, hot dogs, ,smoked turkey and some desserts. I am bringing all the condiments and a dessert and am considering making a fried hominy dish. We could use some more vegetable dishes. I am calling tomorrow to double check they are still doing reservations that day. I told the woman since that was the first day we wanted it...but I still like to follow up.
Stang...which direction will you be coming from?

Knoxville, I am all the way on the opposite side of Knoxville, will be taking Pellissippi Parkway to I-40/75 and following the google directions and my garmin.

Stang...which direction will you be coming from?

Stang...if you take I40 and get off the Dandridge exit 317 ( will also see a sign for Carson Newman College) take a left off the ramp putting you on hwy. 92. Stay straight on this road til it ends and turn right...you will be in Jefferson City. Follow Andrew Johnson Hwy for I guess 12-15 miles (I am not good guessing distance but would take about 20 min from Jeff City). You will see signs for the park. You will turn left and go a few miles and the park is on the right. You can't miss it! Hope this helps!
