Harley would love to come over and chase that. Considering he hit 95 lbs and still ran a fox down last year..he would have a ball.

Better get the DH back that way to mark a few trees before the coyote gets up close to the hen house.

Niota, TN here! :)

Welcome to our little group.
Have to warn you though we are a little off.
But you could not ask for a better group of people.
They are always there when you need something.

I have never enjoyed a forum as much as this one.
I want to thank ALL of them for being such great friends.

As of this post our little forum has had 78,920 views and 5,555 replies

Considering I started it only 18 months ago and then only because I thought there might be a dozen or less people in this immediate area I could network with........those numbers are incredible. I want to thank each and every person that has visited the thread and say how nice it has been that we have been able to be such a tight knit group. So many have done so much to help with the socials and keep us bound together it would be impossible to name everyone for everything you do; thank you all.

I think this calls for a contest

Be the closest guess to when we hit 100,000 views and win 3 chicken nipples. Get within 1 hour and I'll double it to 6 nipples.... and I'll even include shipping.

I am new to BYC and am very fortunate to have found this forum. I would like to say thanks to the people I have interacted with here and I look forward to meeting more. As for the contest if it is okay I will put my guess in the pool: December 19, 2012 @ 6:38 pm.

We must be going crazy here in Gatlinburg! We are still hatching eggs! I have Swedish flower hens hatching each week for the next 3 weeks. PM me if you are interest in chicks.

Thanks Tennesseeckn for our cute BW AM chicks! The kids are in love with their little yellow fluffy butts.
I noticed three of them have a teeny tiny black spot on the top of their heads... does that mean they are boys?

I went on vacation to PA. and brought home my first bantam breed, a trio of Olandsk Dwarfs. I should have eggs in the fall!

Oh my East Tennessee friends, I have lost a chick. It appears she had a broken neck. As I was scrubbing the tractor down, just in case it was some disease, I found raccoon prints on top of the run area. I hadn't been closing them up in the coop because of the heat, but NO MORE EXCUSES. I can't have those raccoons scaring another one of my chickens into a wall! No doubt that is what happened. Has anyone else had an experience like this?
