Good afternoon!
I'm starting my chicken flock with NPIP certified eggs/day olds. I am awaiting faverolles in the mail, and am looking for some Ameraucanas- either eggs or chicks- however they HAVE to be NPIP and I'm really looking for wheaten. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'd rather not have to ship them and would like to find someone who is close enough to drive to...I live around Johnson City, TN. I was wondering if anyone knew any vets that worked on chickens in the tri-cities. I had questions about getting my my NPIP certification and so far every vet I asked about further info on that was puzzled. My dog/cat vet got a good laugh out of me bringing him a rooster in a dog carrier one time though. I would also like to find someone I can go to if I ever have an emergency with a bird. Thanks for any info!

Someone gave me the info but I can't find it cause I want to be certified too. I know it is $35 for it and they make an app. to come out to inspect your flock. Will try to find it.

Tennesseeckn and Happymtn have some nice BW/AM, but I am pretty sure they aren't NPIP yet.
 
I have a sick chick

I do not know what is wrong with her but I have started treating for Coccidiosis. She if fluffed up, isolating herself, not able to walk well but has normal poop. I isolated her & have started the treatment. Please keep you fingers crossed for us. She is eating, drinking & will get up to go poop. Hopefully I am treating for the correct thing. And of course she is one of my favorite Orpingtons. I hope everyone else is doing well.
