I wormed again today. (it has been 14 days) I learned to do the roosters first, and it wasn't so stressful for everyone. (after I did them, I threw them out of the run to free range.) And I have put both coops out to free range two days in a row. (only for about 20 minutes) They have reared up at each other, but I haven't had any bad fights yet.

Also, just found out this afternoon that I am going to be a grandmother. (I think I'm going to vomit - I'm turning 46 next month) Taking a deep breath, fixing me a strong drink and laying down.
Congrats on the Grandma thing!!!

Rodney, or anyone about to purchase ivermectin, permethrin, and valbazen.... if there is a way to share some from the purchased containers would like to buy some... will look into getting my own bottles too (going to look online and I would be willing to share too), since should be able to use with rabbits...
I hate doing these posts from my phone, I feel my posts may b cryptic..

I would buy some, too. Enough for 15 chickens. Can't afford $50.00 right now!! I see some for caged birds- all in the UK. Someone in UK has some on ebay as well. Probably not enough for many chickens, since it's made for caged birds. I dunno. -Pam

Quote: Ok, tomorrow I am going to order a gallon of oxine (which I'll keep a quart) and 500 ml. of valbazen (which I'll keep a 100 ml). I usually just get the permethrin and ivermectin at tsc...but will search for a cheaper price. Regardless I'll bring that too. Unless anyone who wants it will be near me before then, in which case we can meet up before the November show

I need to get everything anyway..ill just bring a little of valbazen, ivermectin, and oxine to the fall show if you can wait that long. Remember though that you need a decent airtight container for the ivermectin because it evaporates quickly if not.
@Bario....if you are going to have it on hand soon and stang is willing to meet him in Knoxville, my son would meet her with it. He goes to UT and it is Knoxville from Monday afterno on and back home Thursday night. I was told that they are going to take duramyacin off the market. Is there also a deramyacin too...or am I misspelling both?? I need some as well is someone wants to split it.

Quote: I dont keep antibiotics on hand just because I have never needed them (yet....crossing fingers) I think right now I am ordering just Permethrin, Ivermectin, Valbazen, and Oxine. Those are usually all I keep on hand. The Valbazen and Oxine should be here by Tuesday and I just got the Permethrin and Ivermectin today. Can you get with Stang and let her know about Knoxville....she might want to do that since she is trying to get her fall cleaning done now I think.

I can get the 36% permethrin online for just a tad cheaper than the 10% after you figure the mix ratio, but then I would have to figure all the mixes all over again. I dont think it is really worth it unless we get someone who has over a hundred chickens or also has cows and horses.

Can you get with Stang and let her know about Knoxville...She may want to do that since she is trying to get her fall clean up done this week I think.

I only need the ivermectin. Hope you find it at a cheaper price. If not, we have a TSC within driving distance. Thanks! Ps- are you guys talking about the Nov show in Dalton, Ga (or near Dalton) ? Thanks! Pam

That's the same age I was when I found out I was goning to be a Nana! Having my 18 month old grandson makes up for being a Nana early!!

HI- Looking up prices on Ivermectin- http://www.firststatevetsupply.com has it @ 33.95 for 50 ml (don't know if that's a good price or not) They have Valbezen (albendazole) for $26.00 for 100 ml bottle- says it will worm 450 birds. I'm thinking about trying that (Valbezen). You have to give it to them by mouth. I suck at that!

Pam
