Depends on what the breeder has done with the breeding stock you get from them. If they tell you the ones you are getting are F2...then the chicks you get from them will be F3s. Now...if you have started a project yourself the chicks from the first pair would be F1. If you have breeding stock from a pair that are not from the same family group then yours would be F1. I hope this made sense..I am kinda looking at it and saying. Huh?You beat me to it!![]()
I'm with you on the F2, F3 thing. I know that it means number of generations, but I don't know when you start counting. Are the parents the F1 or the first round of chicks?
