Do I? LOL Well they're not the best pictures, and hard to see them but yes, I do.

In the photos, it's not the colorful pullets and not the black with neck lacing, those have been rehomed already.

ETA: they may still be a bit on the small/thin side, they were near bones when I got them. And yes, down 75 I will be going.
Well bummer on the colored pullets, I would have loved them.
but ok just not sure how we could work out the logistics and the pics etc. by tomorrow, plus I would need to at least sale the 6 austalorps for $20. or at least taht amount towards a trade/sale.

As for ratio, again, these have been the hardest for me to determine.

StacyTn, I will not be leaving til the early evening, if you'll just let me know by morning or something that way I'll know if I need to pack them when I wake up. If you're on tomorrow when I get up I can try to get better photos, but the photos I have are when I first got them about a month ago.
Okay, we'll see. I work third shift schedule sun-wed. so obviously I'm not working now but on my same schedule, so I'll be up all night.
I will try my best to get some pics at first light in the morning. No promises though, during my days off (thurs. morning until sunday night) are usually really wacked out as far as waking vs. sleeping hrs. go.

If I'm awake, I'll for sure be logged on here and also I will PM my number, so maybe we can talk instead of communicating through here

Yeah, I just wanted to see them and see if I could guess the ratio... I'd hate to trade 4 pullets for 6 cockerels... even if I'm still coming out with $20... I know 1 person wanting a rooster, so that would at least drop the # of roosters... but roosters don't do me any good.

OK........this weird thing that happened once has happened again. I have 3 eggs of 22 in the incubator and the air sacs are round but have an oblong air sac attached running down the side of the egg.
hmm.png
When this happened before the chicks where not able to zip and ended up dead except the last one which I got tired of seeing them die and opened it up..pulled the thick membrane back a bit and a little of the thin one..covered with a wet cloth and put back in...did a bit more again an hour later x2 and finally had enough off that I lay it back in with a wet cloth and it finished hatching. Wish I had gone ahead and started doing it with the others now since I was loosing them anyway. I paid a lot for these 6 eggs and 3 are like this. My humidity has fluctuated a lot the past 6 weeks....don't if it is the weather change or the fan is not running as well as it should. I have seen it slow down a few times when I was checking temp and hum. You would think as much as I hatch I would know what caused this but has never been an issue in the past except that one time. Just thought it was a fluke.
Leaving to go camping for the last time this season...hope it warms up....I hate cold weather!!!

I caught an opossum tonight. I went out side and saw a juvenile in the kitty kennel helping itself to some cat food. I just sidled up and closed the door. Now the question is... what do I do with it?!

Take it out to the sticks!
As someone who was the recipient of such a "kind" gesture before... please don't. We folks out in the stick have birds too

. Now I happen to know of a lake nearby...

Okay, here are some oics. Probably not the best to determine sex of all 8 individually. My toes & fingers are still thawing out and it was impossible with me by myself trying to take individuals of each. Hope this helps some.
Also, included a somee pics of the two bantam cockerals I need to also let go.

With the last 2 photos you get the best idea as far as sexes go, the 4 to the right are cockerels, the 2 to the left are pullets. The other 2 are hiding so don't know if the last 2 are pullets or cockerels, and since you plan to keep 2 of the ones that will be pullets, I have no idea if the 2 I don't see are what I'm left with as far as cockerels go. If the other 2 are pulletish I wouldn't have a problem.... I can't tell if out of the 8 you have 2 pullets and 6 cockerels, or 3 pullets or 4...

ETA: In the second photo of them eating (the closer one) it looks* like there may be a 3rd pullet, but it's questionable with the one staring at the camera.

Well at this point I would let all 8 go and wait until nxt yr. to get a couple older hens, that I know for sure are hens & are already laying. I would rather have more bantam cochin pullets right now being those are the ones I really want to breed & not just for eating eggs. and..........We haven't got to the point yet that we can "send any to freezer camp", all are too much like pets to us at this point. So, keeping any that may potentially be roosters are of no use to me (can't eat & won't breed)

I PMed you so holler back if you still want to see if we can work out the logistics of today & a trade/sale deal. Thanks
