I ordered a "Rare Breed Special" Greenfire Farms and just got lucky, I think! I am not sure if I have roos or hens yet. I may just have expensive super.

LOL! I just bought a duo (BLRWs!!!!) from a guy down the road and he told me not to be scared, but the rooster lays in the nest box until the hen decides to lay an egg!

TNFord, as much as I would love to take credit, I don't have any polish. He sounds awesome, though. Can we just pretend I gave him to you?

Stanglover, congratulations. I know you've been wanting those for a while. You'll have to post some pictures.

Hey Guys
smile.png
I have a couple chickens I got to raise for friends and coworkers that don't have homes and was wondering if anyone was interested. I can get pictures tomorrow if anyone wants

1 golden sebright rooster (7-8 weeks)
3 white leghorn pullets (3 weeks)
3 cornish cross chicks (straight run)(3 weeks)

I have a bunch of EE I need to figure out if they are male or female and I both my silver laced wyndottes may be roosters judging from comb color tonight but will let everyone know!

my two bantam old english and rosecomb, all do that to, and sometimes the two roos the rosecomb and OEG red black will be both on or even in nest with the orginal hen they shared, and the rosecomb will brood the eggs and chicks also (do all rosecomb roos do this? if so, disregard my amazement). on another note, got one hatched red game chick finally as love the colors, and the dutch bantams are all hatching i think and hope, its just a whole line on one side of bator of rocking rollin and peeps! yay! as one already just hatched.

Congrates on the buy. Do you plan to bred them? If so you know they do Not bred true. You need a red and black also to make it work. I wa once interested in them but after I found out the breeding program I said forget it. But they are nice looking birds.

Sorry for the rant, but instead of putting it out there for the world... I think it's better for us East Tennesseeans....

I have put a coop for sale on Knoxville's CL OVER AND OVER and reworded it and done everything I know how to keep it from being flagged. Someone emailed me in responce to a post on CL I put saying "good luck selling" and said that someone he knows who sells coops on CL has gotten hate mail over city limit chickens. IS THAT THE MOTIVATION!??! Keep "coop blocking" (lol) me to keep their neighbor from getting chickens?!?! what?!?!?

I want to reach through the computer and smack some stupid Knoxvillian.

My original theory was that it was the other guy selling coops... but this guy says he assures me it's not (note: I'm not fully convinced) I mean, what is the motivation to sitting there ALLLLLL day and deleting CL ads as soon as they go up?

I have chickens for sale on there... no one flagged them, so it's not personal... it's all about the coops. Explain it to me, someone. Have any of you had this problem?

Thank You for the warm welcome! I think I will try to hang on to my Swedes for now, I think I have a pair.... I would be glad to let you know when I have eggs.
