Nope, I had those 4 hens (plus the blue wheaten girl I've decided to keep) and the 3 speckled sussex boys left. I'm about an hour and a half west of there I believe. I think about 85 miles. I emailed you my zip code.

I also have 14 less than a week old chicks....mostly cochin mix (if not all). Plus some few week old EEs. Those are all straight run, too early to tell for sure.




I did sell 2 rooster and 2 hens at the sale but had these left. Lots of people looked at them but it was all just looking!

jywel417, He's one of three possible cockerels that are in the pen. The other possibility is Pierre, who is my avatar and is a tiny bit shorter than Roo. He's grown since the picture was taken. The third possibility is Blue, Roo's hatch mate and they are exactly the same height. Pierre and Blue are both a little broader than Roo and are both blue.

Well went to a livestock sales and flea market today. I bought a 4 2 month old hen off of a very nice couple. We got 2 white leg horns and 2 golden comets. I had brought a large pet taxi with me. So we put all 4 in the cage. They were fine for a while and then the white ones attacked the red ones. I separated them just as quickly as I could. Found a box it put the comets in. One of the comets did have a place next to her tail feathers. Now I am so worried they will kill her. If I put them all the the coop together. What do I need to do? I don't have a separate place to put her. Can I put anything on her wound? I am still new to all this. I really like the golden comets. They are very friendly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

I'm going! I want to get a nice pair of show quality bunnies and start working with them. Haven't decided what breed I want to work with. Considering flemish giants, rhinelanders, champagne d'artagents (killed spelling there lol) or checkered giants. Really looking forward to going and looking at all the different breeds.

Hi. New here, my daughter asked me to register as she could ask questions that way. We live in Cocke County. My child got into chickens 3 yr ago with the 4H chick chain. Since then she has become "fascinated" with Ameraucauna chickens, she says "they are soooo gentle". She has shown in the last 2 county fairs and did really well. She showed in the poultry show this last weekend. I felt since it was her first show and she had NO clue what she was doing, I didnt have a clue either so couldnt really help. Her 2Roos didnt do very well, one was just plum mean, he will be finding the stew pot this weekend, should make good dumplins as he is only 8 mnths old. Her other roo had some "problems" something about the comb being to large and floppy. She understands those 2 problems. She is baffled as to her girl. SnowWhite is a white ameraucana, with a beautiful face, gentle manner, and really has some personality. She got some good points, the tag said CH AOE, BB, BV, and then "condition". My poor daughter, and myself, are a little confused as to what the judges meant. I think it was because she was a wee bit yellowish, think corn did that, her face was a little dirty, and the fool Roo got her back feathers. My darling child, she is only 12, would love some "help/suggestions" for the novemeber show so she can start getting snowwhite ready now.

I like "blue coat" or you can use generic antibiotic ointment on the wound and put blue coat around it in hopes the others will not continue to peck at it. TSC for blue coat. As far as the other question...cybercat, nelle, and wegotchickens are the ones to ask on that (way more experience than me, LOL)
