@ sandrad

Almost forgot to tell you about my 11 yo step daughter when you asked about if you had to put a chicken in the freezer. A picture is worth a 1000 words (she was 10 here)

Sorry if that offends anyone....fact of life though when tooooo many roosters make it through the straight run.

I think the most I've had broody at once is 8 or 9. these days since I dont have that many chickens any more....its just the mottled cochins, the pair of large fowl cochins and now this darn production red (again). Oh wait, no I lie....that leghornX was broody recently too. The barred cochins both finished their broody stints...the leghornX finished....the other mottled cochins finished....so just the 3 mottled hens and the production hen right now. Letting the red hen sit and trying to break the mottled girls.

Offend? NO! You know waht offends me? How Tyson does chicken.

That picture just makes me hungery. I got one question tho... how did you get the chicken to be still or was it dead already?

And I'm still stuck on this poultry theif... where are my neighbors from McMinn County on here?!?!

I got to start asking people at work... see how many people really are losing whole flocks.

There is no fun in that! my BR who just raised her brood (BROOD!) has decided to go broody (BROODY!) again. Hopefully she does better this time.

AGHHH! I swear I just heard the thump of all nine of my girls' fat bottoms hitting the ground. I'm pretty sure I'll go out there tomorrow and find them all crammed in the nesting boxes, growling in harmony.

She was flogged and chased by one...now she jumps at the chance to dispatch a rooster. As far as still goes, I just wore him out by holding him all that time it took to give her the speech about how much i liked my fingers and would like to keep them
