@ heathero617 - I asked my friend about the Langshans and she said she doesn't have any right now but there is a guy they call Cotton who raises those mainly, she asked if you'd be going to the TN valley fair in Sept? There should be some for sale there.

@ bairo - apparently there is someone who goes to the bunny shows that has Champagne D'Argents, so I guess I could look into it further once I try to show Odessa my junior PW doe. The only problem I see is you'll be paying a butt load for a specific meat rabbit, is there a reason to want that specific breed?

no not really. I just found the breed interesting.

Well she said another good breed is Silver Fox, it produces more milk with less feed and is very docile. She said she saw a trio for sale the other day.

ETA: they're a rare meat rabbit too!

Interesting also....I just read about them. Were they a decent price? It might be a bonus to see if I could selective breed on the side and see if i could bring back the blue.

LOL ok if you are gonna eat the bunnies, i'll just keep them and build another hutch or something!!!!! My bunnies arent edible because they're petable! That is what i told my dad when he said he'd take them.

She said she'll ask the girl who's selling them and get back to me. So, I'll let you know once I hear anything.

ETA: She talked to the girl who talked to the seller, she was in AL for a day and is back in LA now... So, unfortunately you'll have to continue your search... but, I have seen SF's on CL so they may be easier to find than the D'Argents.

Some of my bunnies I'm gonna eat are petable

but of course I'm not going to butcher them either, that's Hubby's job. I sure will eat them, they have no names. The one that has a name is so I don't have to eat all of my bunnies.
