Eggs are BEST in the first 7 days.... that said, they will still hatch for up to 4 weeks - just don't expect older ones to hatch well.

Nope. The rooster of all 3 girls is my blue cochin rooster. He is very poor quality.....major red leakage, too small for the standard, vulture hocks...the whole nine yards

BUT he is a great flock rooster, one of the best I've ever had. He was hatched from cochins I used to own. Blue rooster (with leakage, so not unexpected) and a big splash hen (no leakage).

The bearded black girl you got is from either a wheaten ameraucana hen, or an olive egger hen.

The olive egger hen is the half bald one in this pic.

NO IDEA what hen created the others.....I can't remember what eggs I was hatching out. I think it was just an assortment from all my hens. So could be Jersey Giant, RIR, Cochin, Leghorn/Giant, EE, etc.

I knew you had given me the possibles but could not remember all the choices. Like I said we just love them to death at any rate. Still a bit on the shy side in the coop but had fun today running around the yard with everyone else (we mowed down part of the garden so they got to pick thru it all day) Then low and behold I go out later than usual to lock them up and the buff/brown is up in the rafters between the roo and his favorite girl (one of the gold laced). I about fell over

p.s. The heck with the retaining wall thing.....it is not hard to do the elevated coop instead. Just remember that a string line with a string level is your friend. Mark out a rectangle 7'-9"x15'-9" and drop a 4x4 in a hole 15 in deep min and 10" diam. and concrete them in at the inside corners. 2 more on the long sides so you are 8' apart. Dont cut the tops off till you have the 2x8's in a box around the posts and level at your desired height (18" from ground on the low side..and prob. end up about 42" ? on the high side) put in your 2x6 floor joists with hangers on 24" centers, cut the posts off level, and drop 4 sheets of ply floor on top. for floor you know the rest I think.
