I am in Elizabethton and will gladly take in any roos that people have, if you can accept the fact that they have a pretty good chance of being eaten. I try to place as many roos as I can with people through Craigslist, and most of my roos find homes, but I do eat what I can't home!

Wonderful! Can't speak for everyone, but I have no problem with it. Would you mind emailing me your name and number and any other contact info. We r still getting things together, so unsure when we will be going before the city council (mayb in Sept/Oct), but we will be giving them your name and telling them that you agree to take the roos. Would u mind providing us with a statement saying u do agree. We need to be as prepared as possible when we go before them and we could give them your statemnt so they can verify if need be. My email, [email protected]

Gladly, I had to verify it with the hubs and the landlord, and now have so I'll send you my information! We enjoy having the fresh chicken and I will be able to donate some of the butchered prepared roos to the needy if I end up having many, many roos to butcher, which will be wonderful! Older butchered roos and chickens I donate to the Wynnwood animal rescue, for food for the raptors and raccoons and owls! I'll include all this information in my e-mail, and hopefully that will help push your cause along, Johnson City needs more chickens!

Hey peeps, I was wondering if anyone here is near Cleveland & would like some quail? In the last two weeks both my hubby's & my health have taken a further, sudden dive & I have some lovelies that I need to give away. I have some just turned adult buttons and a few coturnix as well. A so called friend said he wanted the coturnix, even talked us into hatching a few more so I could keep some hens for the lone male we are keeping & he would buy the rest. But he keeps putting us off & I can't afford to wait much longer as in a couple of weeks or so I'll have to start separating the males as they begin crowing.

Just got this information and thought i'd pass it on if anyone is interested. The Greene County 4-H is having a poultry auction at the Greene County Fair Grounds September 24th from 10am to 1pm. I don't know if they are all the same breed since 4H tends to have their members work the same projects within their groups. Once I find out for sure i'll pass on the info.

Ok Sandra and everyone else, you can uncross appendages, we're all done! Ended up with 6 of 11 hatching. 5 were iffy going into lockdown, of those 5, 2 hatched. I had 2 that went in strong just gave up on me. I'll post pics later, i'm trying to get them all settled in to the little brooder. >rubbermaid tote with holes in it!<
