I hate those people... Hank, and some others that are less infamous. If you are re-selling, say so... if the person wants the critters gone enough, they will still let you have them. Liars, liars everywhere! Shame.

I am sorry, but I only GIVE birds to people I know to be good and honest. I rather keep feeding them or eat them myself if all they are going to do is house them until the next sale or list them on CL. Who knows what crappy conditions they live in while in their care and who knows who buys them (because the chicken flipper doesn't care who pays)? I know it's hard for alot of people to eat their birds, but sometimes it is kinder to do that then have them go to the wrong home.

Sorry for the vent... just get's my goat.

I was a victim of that latest lady, and I had no idea she was a flipper, I didn't even know what a flipper was until NellaBean was sweet enough to let me know! I had a roo I wanted to trade for hatching eggs, drove all the way out, traded them, they seemed okay, she seemed okay, she met me partway to save me some driving. Had a great story about getting the eggs from a friend at work to hatch and not having time. The eggs are OLD, completely useless to hatch, the rooster was one of my culls and I do hope he is doing well, he was a pretty guy.

So all I got was a fun little roadtrip with my husband and one less rooster to process. But it has ruined my faith in people a bit, that is for sure.

Now that is just wrong on so many levels

here I am just growing all my culls to process granted it won't be the cheapest chicken salad ever but I do hope it tastes better than in a can. What is wrong with people

? I get lying about your circumstances for your own food but not to turn around & sell to someone else. I am someone just tell me the truth I'll give you one rather than see someone hungry. Kinda like someone begging for money to eat I will take you to eat but not give you money to buy drugs or booze.
Impress lost her roo got bad eggs , used gas she proably needed, plus her time. So sorry

. We are all trying to feed our families take care of our critters give them the best we can. It does diminsh your faith in human beings. Makes it really hard to trust anyone.

Here I thought flippers referred to real estate

It's good to know considering this person has been on this site at least twice, been caught and banned, and keeps wandering back, she lives near Lenoir City, so beware! If you think someone might be this person, get her cell number and check with me, I have all her information. I was so excited about these beautiful eggs, and to find out they are all old clunkers broke my heart. 2 copper marans, some d'uccles, assorted interesting white and tan and blue eggs. I am assuming she just saved whatever eggs popped out of the animals she was trading around on the counter and then traded them to me as fresh hatching eggs.

Yes, her birds are all mixed together! I traded some younger chicks and laying hens (the blue egg layers) for a harlequin rabbit, I felt she was being kind hearted because she said she lost a bunch of her birds to dogs and wanted more and didn't need so many rabbits. Then traded 2 laying khaki campbells for another harlequin rabbit (I thought he was cute

) So far, Duckgirl got the campbells for trade of her rouens and you got an assortment of mutt eggs that who knows how old... I know who she is and now ignore her CL adds... the harlequin buck found a loving home through the fair

and the khaki's are with someone who loves ducks

I feel bad for some of the other animals that come into her care though... when she traded me for the second harlequin he was bony and a bit underweight, the judge declared him "out of condition"

He looks happy! I am so glad he's with you guys.

I have got to get rid of a couple more boys. I keep throwing these makeshift pens together to keep them separate because they hit puberty and loose all sense. I'm going to get accused of running a fighting outfit pretty soon. My only defense will be, "They're orpingtons. They don't fight. They barely MOVE, well, unless there's food involved."

LMAO... Just like the typical man. Those roos will turn retarded when the hit puberty

I would take them if we needed more roos at the moment....but the other boy from you is soooooo happy that he is the only one now. He struts around and really takes care of all his girls, yet he still takes his nightly rub from me and almost coos when he sees me coming out at 9pm to check on everyone. He is def. the poop as far as roos go.
