I will be showing some New Hampshires at the Nov show, along with some mottled cochins. So if nothing else, there will be handful of NH there for lf! LOL. I have 6 now and getting 2 more......will be showing 2 roosters and probably all 4 of my girls. They are all young......but I need to get them tested anyhow.

They are ten weeks old. Mamas brought me a couple of mice and she's teaching the babies. Mostly by hiding in the weeds and then launching themselves at my ankles which makes me scream.

I hope you got said cat fixed now!! My chickens dont chase back..its odd but they are really good at running for their lives! My bostons team up with my moms jack russel so its just easier to keep them in the fence. I might be able to be talked into a kitten tho, you'll have to do some heavy convincing

How's this for convincing?

They're both girls. The one on the left is a lot darker orange now and the one on the right has long hair. They're up to date on their shots and their mom tested negative for leukemia.

They're all weaned and ready to go.

Very super cute very odd that they are female tho, most times orange tabbys are male!

Well...I don't feel so bad now. I have 16 layers and 8 POL and I may get 4 eggs a day. Selling eggs to eat is what buys their feed...so I told them it is either eggs = food. No eggs = what ever you can find foraging! I can say one thing though....my black stars are super layers! Even through their molt they kept laying everyday. Boy I hope I did not just jynx them

I have silkies who are 7 months old so... something has gotta come out soon.

The 2 English I got from you are finally growing again. I want to get them in with the Lavenders but those are so big I want them to grow a bit first.

I'm surprised they've not caught up yet. They will, though. Just need a little more time. Did you get girls, boys, or one of each?

They are going to be fine...always first to the food bowls! I think both are going to be pullets which is great cause they will be with my Lavender roo, Goliath. They are also inseparable...see one you see the other. ..really kinda cute. Will try to get a pic of them. What month did they hatch? I am trying to make a list of who is POL to keep an eye out for eggs.

That's what the vet said, too. I am not a cat person so I have no idea. My broody just hatched three girls. I just hope the girl-thing continues.

One good remedy if you don't have access to penning your dog is muzzles...it frustrates the heck out of them too!!!! We don't have a dog now but.....the neighbors do. I think they have finally listened when I told them....the pellet gun is put up....but the 22 is now out.

Boston terriers are super hard to muzzle effectively, considering they dont have real muzzles to hold a muzzle.

Same basic genetics as calicos. Many people don't know the difference between the 2. They see a torti and they call it calico, which is technically correct and since toriti is a pattern of the calico trait. >more useless feline trivia< I'm full of it
