I had a trio of solid whites. Till today. I came home and went to fed. My oldest hen was lying dead. Its the first bird I've lost in 2 years, without racoons involved. I might have a few next year. I'm going to check with a friend this weekend and see if he has any extra hens. I'll ask about males. I would like splash cochin amd partridge cochin bantams.

Danny... I have a pair of white wyandotte bantams for sale right now, if you are interested

Bairo... I also have MULTIPLE pairs of Delawares available now. one from Morrow line, two from Braden, and two from my line..... just sayin'

I'm leaning toward going to Newport, possibly will show. I don't know though... with my work schedule it can be REALLY hard to get there to enter birds. If I enter any it will be my bantam Delawares for sure and possibly my bantam barred rocks.

Phew. I was afraid you had LF and I would be trying to justify another breed.

I like the big girls. Well, except one silkie for my daughter and Bob and chicks (OEGB and her mutts). Actually, the only birds I kept out of my huge McMurray order were the two bantams... Maybe moving towards the little ones after all...

Thought I would offer some trivia.

The most yolks ever in one egg = 9 (NINE!!!)

The average American eats over 80 pounds of chicken each year.

It takes about 4 1/2 pounds of feed for a chicken to produce a dozen eggs. (Heritage breed)

Hi, I just joined a little while ago to ask about my three chickens. Looks like I have fantastic luck and have two roos and one hen.

I'm in the Monroe county area.
Anyone want an EE or Light brahma roo ? lol

Hey all, just wanted to put it out there that I might be selling 2 or 3 easter egger pullets, they're POL (any day now!) PM me if interested, I bought them from LC Feeds. Not very impressed at the colors I got and the lack of eggs (I bought them in march as chicks and yet to get an egg). They're a stand-offish type breed and are very smart, I had to clip they're wings because they we're flying to the top of the run and roosting in a high branch in a tree. I have no idea what color egg they'll lay either, they were an impulse buy

Also, 2 of my BLRW roosters need to go just not sure which one I want to keep yet.

Thanks, but Im only interested in the partridge wyandotte bantams-for now. But if I hear of anyone interested I'll let them know.
