I just split my coop into 2 sections plus a rooster jail..so no room for rangers this time around. (although I am very interested in the hoop style coop..hmm? what to do?) LOL

What about this?

I was planning on doing this and running some of my electric fence around a pasture area. That way I can take it apart after I'm done. I know of one other person considering splitting an order with me. We could get a pretty great price if a bunch of us ordered together... C'mon, you know you want to...

Neat pens. When I volunteered for an animal rescue several years ago my DH made fence panels with PVC and zip-tied welded wire fence on them. I could make different sizes and for a woman they where light weight and easy to move around.

Good gracious...I just looked at those plans. I consider myself mechanically inclined, but those are "interesting" plans to say the least. Talking about the "narrower option". I would have to build that one by the picture instead, LMAO

Good to see you too Bario and thank you so much for helping us out with the wormer. I have been getting 1-2 eggs a day...today I got 6!! and they have not had the wormer yet.

I am still wanting to do the Chick-a-paloosa...just going to have to wait to make final decision as to when after I am back on my feet. Out little group here is really growing now!!

I know what everyone means by rain, rain and more rain. We have to large ponds that connect with a drainage pipe. My husband spent 3 days pumping to lower the high level with 2 pumps. Glad he did it...though to look outside at them now they are right back up to the level they where, BUT....I can't imagine what it would look like if he had not pumped them. The first is running over the land bridge between them. In 22 years this is only the second time I have seen that happen. The ground is so saturated that the water has not where to go. One good thing. If you let your chickens free range this large rain makes grubs come up out of the ground...so a lot of tasty treats waiting for them!

thats funny...they must have sensed they were getting wormed for not laying, LOL
I know mine doubled 2 days after I wormed them. Hopefully your will. Im getting ready to set my light out there on a timer to come on at 0530 and off at 8 am. Since I use the CFL bulbs, I get 200 watts of light for 46 watts. it will probably cost me 3 cents a day to turn on their lights for 2.5 hours. Making up for the loss of light in winter usually helps a little

Ain't that the truth. I looked at the picture and though "ah, I could do that pretty easy". then I looked at the materials list and plans and just scratched my head. Sure looks easier than it reads.....

My favorite saying applies here. Die in a fire. Oh wait, not that one. It's not rocket science......

on a positive note.. I did finish splitting the coop. Rooster jail-check, layers separate-check, del area-check. I ended up with a 6x4 rooster jail, 5x6 dels, and 6x6 layers.

I know...cant beilieve how it has grown. We were really lucky to get the combined experience of nella, Lori, and cyber. It has become a great group. I dont think there is another "where are you" group that is as close as we all have become. Schucks...im gonna cry any moment now

Well one less coon for me to worry about now. Some local coon hunters dog had one treed at the backend of the property. They ended up getting around a 12lb boar. I've seen a bunch of coon roadkill around lately, was making me kinda worried that the coon population was getting a little too healthy...

I have one too many New Hamp roosters. Considering selling one. 100% American. NO hen to go with him. Would make a great and flashy flock rooster and could improve some hatchery NH or just make some great dual purpose birds.

The boy on the left here. Just a cockerel still...and this pic is from a few weeks ago.
