Sable Chin boy is massive. 1.5lbs at 5 weeks old. I think a flemish giant got into my rabbitry! LOL. His dad weighs 2.76lbs full grown at 2 years old. What the heck happened....oh wait, his mom is huge.

Would those be meal worms? Because I WOULD like to see pictures of that.

x2 still thinking about it myself (of course Ive been thinking about bunnies for the last 6 months too)

Well I do actually have a small mealworm farm going...they grow SO slow! I bought 1 dozen? from a bait shop and threw them in a sterilite bin. About half that made it too adulthood. I probably have 25-50ish in there now that are 1/4 the size of what you would think for a "normal" sized mealworm. Maybe once I get 50 or so adult beetles the population will explode

I was actually talking about red worms. I don't know if any of you scan the farm & garden section of craigslist, but there is someone in jacksboro that sells the 55 gallon blue drums and that's what I'll be using for my bins. And speaking of rabbits, I believe rabbit manure is one of the only droppings you can use directly in a vermicomposting bin...

Stop with the Bunnie pictures! The cuteness is killing me. ......(ok I can't have any more animals...we don't have room. DH will kill me if I bring home another animal. but its so little and cute....it wouldn't take up that much room....DS would love it) me argureing with my self will go on for the rest of the day now. Ok I have to ask. so they only weight 2lbs full grown. What breed are they againg?

Lionhead Rabbits. Breed standard is only up to 3 3/4lbs. I am working with a line that runs on the small side, so most of mine are 3lbs or less.

I still have 2 black bucks available! 1 pet and 1 breeder/show quality. Priced accordingly

If that dang buck that is the better quality one had a pedigree, he would be a $100+ buck. Nice little guy. I don't need him as I have a nicer adult buck already

Hey Daph, these 2 boys are unrelated to the doe you got. You should really get (the nicer) one.....and then in 3 months, ahem.

Hey guys, if anyone's interested in buying a rabbit hutch I have one I'm about to put on CL to sale... just know it's not going to be "cheap" I have a lot of materials in it, but discounting it for the fact it's in need of being cleaned up and woods wet from all the rain we've gotten... I used to use it as a chick brooder, then took the hardware cloth off and put the 1"x .5" on it for bunnies and had 2 california white does in it... it is splittable, and I have the hardware cloth to fix the splitter (one of the does was very chewy and tore it apart). I can't remember the dimensions right off hand, but it's somewhere like 3.5-4 foot wide, 2 foot long, and like 18" tall... I can take measurements and post photos if it sparks anyones interest...
