I'd say go ahead and either pull them off the heat lamp or put it on a timer to just run from about 2 am to 5 am. You dont have very much time left to get them ready for the real cold weather. Ive got my three week olds on a timer just after midnight now for the same reason...they need to be ready for the cold.If you get tired of my weekly updates on the Orps please let me know. They are now 5 weeks old & outside in their new house. The temperature seems to being holding very good so far. I turned the heat lamp off today & just put it back on (I have a dimmer switch hooked up to it so I can adjust it). I am still holding out for my initial call of 3 to 1 but am having doubts.As always I updated their folder with more pics.

I saw those on there for 60.00 I have been looking for some too. Well not really, but I still look. There is no room in the inn right now for more chickens at my house. I hatched out two bantam calico cochins that are about 8 weeks old. I will have to post pictures because I don't know if the are boy or girl. That's great! I thought it was like a picture that you had put inside the glass. I had no idea it was a reflection.Yes you are seeing what you probably think. LOL I should have taken in the laundry before pics!
