Ok... I went out... my window shows the east... it's blue there... out west it is greyish white or something. I don't think greyish is a word.

EXACTLY! Exactly right that you can work on that.... and do ME a favor and don't sell them a darn egg. Jealous bleepity bleeps. God that makes me mad.... it was done to me too, so I know how they are and it probably has some of the same people in the crowd.

I am just starting to get caught up from last night. So this is my reply: I posted some picks of my LF blue Orps on an Orp thread & started a fight/rant. One person told me to take a hammer to one chick's head & that they were not breeding quality. There was one or two nice people to comment but I left & have not been back to the thread. I am not trying to breed for show quality I just want what is pleasing to me and if the two line up then so be it.

If I remember correctly the negative person ended up getting jumped by one or two others and it spiraled into a who's got what & show me yours kind of thing. so I left.

Yes, if I remember correctly I was commenting earlier that this is the ONLY thread I use... I forgot why, someone told me to use the Cochin thread and I said thanks but no thanks... I'm sure I would have gotten an ear full about how they're not even a color so why ask. Sorry you had that bad experience. I don't wish it on anybody, because if you're like me it brings you down emotionally...

Stang, they are adorable. Do they move around any yet or just nesting with mom?

We got two of the guineas out yesterday. They were smaller than the others, and we realized they were getting bullied and couldn't eat. Put them in with the Goldens overnight. They freaked for about three hours, then they embraced it. They ate. And the roosted last night. I let them out today to free range with the chickens. They kept circling the other guineas looking for a way to get back in. But after about 30 minutes they quit and starting grazing. Check out the other guineas following them around.

They are pretty. I wish we could have guineas but not an option.

We can normally see Gatlinburg from our house but not today. This morning I thought it was fog but as the day went on I realized it wasn't. Spoke to dh on break & he said it was from the dust storm in OK. I can't begin to imagine what it was like there if this is what we have here

It happened when I first joined BYC & I decided that thread was not for me. It did kind of bother me some but it did not take me long to figure out the one posting the bad comments was also the one called out by several others. I have been around long enough to see "those" kind of people in all sorts of animals.

I am not the sharpest tool in the shed and I am taken sometimes but not usually more than once. I don't think I will ever be a show person. I have issues with line breeding and IMO too many animals have been line breed to the point of no return. My goal is to enjoy my chickens, breed as I see fit for what I like, surround myself with positive people & try to be a positive person to others. I mean the project I want to do will not even be rated as high as an EE but every breed started somewhere.
