Unfortunately, I have not learned to make and post pics. He is called a spangled which is like black and white mottled with orange overall. The girl I bought him from showed him on tabletop yesterday and he placed 2nd. I have never shown any--I'm kinda new to this. I just love raising them. Right now I have 5 cocks, 6 hens, 11 cockerels, and 8 pullets.

So much for sitting on my hands, had a third pip so decided not to intervene with the one chick, it had started to zip finally, and has died. I can't tell, but the orp looks lavendar not blue.. so much for getting a third chick, looks like it'll be back down to 2... one swede and one orp.

2 cattle panels: 40.00

plastic sheeting 10'x25': 10.00
assorted box of bungees: 10.00

There's the small stuff like staples, fencing, screws, nails... the door and its hardware. I got lucky, I had torn down the runs that weren't in use any longer and used it to build my hoop coop, reused the fencing, the door, and some of the wood. The only things I had to buy were the panels, the 4 pieces of wood for the bottom, tarp, plastic, bungees.. also zip ties and door hinges...

to keep the wind off of them, stapled it to the wood, and it is at the top under the tarp, that way if the tarp has a hole it'll still keep the rain off of them... I can also in the summer, keep the sides up on pretty days for fresh air...

I havent been able to put up pics either. Thats cool im sure he is a beuty. Iwould like to go ahead and look for a new rooster too to bring in a new bit of genes. Thanks tho!

wow ur chicken coop is awesome and what a neat idea for the design. super nice and roomy. makes me want one too.
