It's kind of hazy here but not too bad...I see some thunderheads building up on the Loup now..

I just ordered 100 chicks from Murray McMurray. They sent me an email offering a big discout on the "Special Assorted Bargain", so I caved and made the order. This should produce chicks from over 60 different breeds. If anyone out there is looking for a specific chicken let me know. I may have it soon!
I got 100 straight run chicks for $90 vs. the $130 regular price. If anyone is looking for a good deal check it out. These are extras that are hatched to fill all the orders, so the assortment should be fun to try and figure out!

I am so new to chickens - but I have alot of different ones.... phoenix, rir, br, buff, auracauna, austrolorp, leghorn, a sumatra, and a few others that I have no idea what they are!

I just butchered my first cockrel today ---- have 20 running around --- but if you are looking for a rooster - please let me know. I was told my adult rooster is a dominique - if you want him - you can HAVE him. Not sure his age - but he is very - ummmm - well - knows his job well!

Welcome Kelebek! There aren't too many of us in the area but at least we have a thread now! I'm sure we will gradually grow as people find the BYC website... You have quite a nice variety of birds.
