Our family has been incubating eggs year after year, without using a professional incubator. We made an inexpensive incubator from a fish tank, and a light bulb, with more hatchery rates than a store bought incubator. One thing to remember, when you have an incubator, not to rotate the egg when it's pipped, this will cause the chick to pip on the wrong side, making it too weak and unable to break loose out of the egg. remember, be creative when following a creative process, to save money and still succeed!
