Easy plant propagation

The thread on the rooting hormone got me thinking about some easy ways to propagate plants without much to-do.

    Which plants?

    What method?

What timing? (And where do you live? What zone?)

Problems with weediness in self-sowers? (If someone posts about a superb plant in one area, it's nice to hear whether it's weedy somewhere else.)

While I'm thinking about all the other plants I enjoy, I first thought about hybrid penstemons, which root very nicely from cuttings I take while deadheading. H-P's are one of the only plants I deadhead, because where I live they can bloom far past Thanksgiving in a mild year. I simply strip the lower leaves off the stem and poke it in the ground or in a pot. My favorite variety is "Garnet", BTW.

Do you have anything to share?
