Easy way to feed Yogurt

I mixed rice crispies in with strawberry yoghurt... the girls loved it. Balti put her foot in it and -*swipe*- it was all over the floor

but they ate it and liked it.

Masala got it on her head and objected to Korma trying to eat it off her instead of the floor

If i put just plain yogurt in there treat dishes they"re no to thrilled-I just started sneaking iit in with there treats and its always gone- I even throw some in there oatmeal-I just mixed some with there watermelon, applesauce, some cheerios, and wheat cereal they went crazy. Treat time is alot of fun!!!!

I'm not sure what you mean by sniffles, but chickens shouldn't have any kind of respiratory problems, they don't get colds etc.. like we do. You might want to look into that.

Had A First Time Yogurt Feed Just Yesterday And What Fun For The Girls And For Me Too Observing! They Just Dove Right In To The Very Base Of Their Beaks And Cleaned Each Other Off Afterward! Lol! Are Those Fussy Birds Turning Beaks Up At Plain Yoghurt? I Really Am New Egg And Don't Know If Unflavored/unsweetened Is Better For Them But Mine Really Liked Good Old Vanilla.:d:d

LOL

*8 cups whole milk (I use nonfat powdered b.c it's cheaper and it turns out the same), put in the crockpot on LOW for 2hrs30mins

*Remove 2 cups warm milk, add in 1/2 cup yogurt w/natural cultures or the cultures purchased from a health food type store. Add milk and yogurt mixture back to crockpot and stir gently.

*Unplug your crockpot, replace lid, cover tightly with heavy bath towel for 8 hours. Voila....you have yogurt

ETA: you can add brown sugar and vanilla or pureed fruit to your finished yogurt. Store in a glass container for up to 2 weeks in the fridge
