Eat it or Throw it Away?

Scoop it out for sure. It was just a little protein. I need the gravy on the potatoes.

You'd get hurt in this house if you tossed out the gravy!

Ditto here!
I doubt the greedy guts in this house would notice except momentarily noting a crunchy bit there.

OK if an onion has a little spot of moldy rot on it what do you do?

Cut that part out for the compost and use the rest. Depends on how bad it is and how deep it goes.
Also depends on the type of fruit: harder stuff like potatoes and onions just cut, soft stuff like tomatoes get tossed.

Others will disagree I know, but that's what I do!
DH and I have cast iron stomachs (probably BECAUSE of the stuff we eat) and I like it that way.

I agree for sure.

If the milk is left out for the day, and it doesn't smell bad drink it or toss it?

If milk is left out for the day, throw it out. Not worth getting sick because bacteria can multiply often when it is warmer.
