Since you're heating the oven to 400 deg. for the quiche, why not start it early -- you can stick the bacon on a broiler pan or in a heavy skillet and toss it in a 400 deg. oven for 20 min -- no bacon splatters, no smoky kitchen, awesomely crisp bacon. When it's done, set it on paper towels to drain. You will LOVE it in your quiche!
