Eat, sleep and no poop

Are they under a heat lamp, and if so, is it red or white? A red lamp might be better so they cannot see very well. But they are sometimes much too hot.

They're under red light. The light only covers about 25% so they have plenty of room to get away. We're having a freakish hot year in TN so they only use it at night. During the day, I'm keeping the entire room at 80-85. Having to use ac to keep it at that. I'm wondering if that's why my hen hatched chick is having so many problems. It was so hot and humid while the eggs were developing that only 2 of a dozen hatched out. One with all sorts of problems.
