Yes they were very good! I read from someone that they didn't come out the right way when they hard-boiled them.

I want some more ducks

Cornbread..... Something we don't have in Germany and I've tasted some nice ones here in the US. Please post your recipe so I can make it too.
Thanks

Mmm. Those look delicious. I think I'm going to go fry some eggs... lol

I love them hard boiled. I've served them up as devilled eggs at a party and people asked me where I got such huge eggs--they thought they were chicken eggs.

But we don't eat them boiled any more, because as much as they are my favorite egg to eat fried, scrambled, poached, and baked, I have a new favorite in boiled eggs: Quail. They are teeny and hard to peel, but they're sweet and luscious and the perfect little boiled egg. For everything else, I still prefer duck.

Enjoy.

Thanks, I've got it. Got shocked first when I saw 109 pages of recipes. Good that yours was near the top. I'm start getting convinced that we need a website for just duck lovers. What I mean this one is great, but we need like a Holderread type expanded online version of what to do with out ducks. His book is great but it lacks the small details of everyday duck life. The kind of tips, question and answers you find here. Only nicely organized. Well ask me in January, if I can take such a big thing on.

For the new duck eggs!

I love my duck eggs and I am right along with everyone else that says they are so much better then chicken eggs. My hubby loves them in cornbread, that is his favorite. I use duck eggs for all my cooking now. The only thing I won't put duck eggs in is brownies, that is ONLY because I like the gooey fudge-like brownies.

I have 14 Khaki Campbell hens, 2 Khaki Drakes, and 2 Pekin hens. So we get a LOT of duck eggs every day!!! I make quiches and French Toast using only duck eggs, with no extra added milk or cream. This way I can use up a lot of eggs at once, I put 13 in each quiche and make bales of French Toast at a time with challah bread and about 30 eggs.
