Eating feathers?!

On the plus side of the featherpocalypse, I'm planning on making some really cool jewelry with these pretty spotted feathers! Hopefully I can sell some!
My father ties fishing flys and he loves the feathers off the green headed ducks, and purples off the wings. The colors realy can be stunning and beautifull!
Post pictures of what you make!

So I'm in bed with a cluster headache/ migraine today and my mom is being really nice and picking up the ducks food for me. As mentioned, I give them Flock Party non medicated chick starter crumbles, ground up and mixed with ground oats so they don't get TOO much protein, and I also mix in Brewer's yeast. I cut back on the oats a little since the random feather eating started to give them some extra protein, and give them some mealworms as an occasional treat. Is there any reason to put them on feed specifically for ducks? Some lady at the store told my mom that her ducks were paralyzed from eating chicken feed.

Never heard of a duck being paralyzed from eating chicken feed. If that was the case mine would def be since that’s all they’ve eaten because I also have chickens. Can’t feed just duck feed. Does your bag of feed show a pic of a duckling on it along with a chick?

off topic but i had migraines untill i turned 23. i got a good eye doctor and realy good glasses and realy good polarized sunglasses and havent had migraines since
This is amazing advice! Random story- My sister and her husband are both MD Optometrists. When my sister was using me as a practice patient when I was in 5th grade, she found out that not only am I insanely nearsighted, but I have very slight External Oblique Palsy in my right eye. Basically, in the distance I see double. I have insanely expensive, complicated glasses that have all kinds of space age materials. They DID help my headaches at a younger age, though!

I'd never heard of that, either. The old packaging did, and the new packaging has duck instructions. I spent untold hours deciding on a brand back at the beginning, lol. Since Hemmie hasn't laid again, I'm going to up their protein a little.
