To me, even more disturbing than what end they come from is what they ARE.

They are, after all, the reproductive waste product....a chicken's version of a woman's monthly cycle. But still, I eat eggs.....fertile or not.

I dont know about that, they ARE the reproductive product. not the waste. And no, you are not getting a dollop of rooster semen, yuk! but the result of hen cell and rooster cell meeting and dividing. just a small blob of cells.

Some friends of mine have a couple of not-so-cute nicknames for eggs:

They call them "Chicken Periods" or "Bum Nuts."

Good thing eggs are so delicious...

Our red star, Cinnamon, lays large eggs everyday. since day one(her first tiny pullet egg that she layed at 13-18 weeks) she has been laying fertile eggs. every egg of hers that i crack open has that large circle germinal spot in it.

I didn't know that even her very first pullet egg could be fertile!

we eat them anyways. all it is is some cells, like some people said. I don't thnk that the taste changes at all, does it?

Ew I have heard of half-batored eggs!

My step-dad once was eating some hard-boiled eggs and he bit into one and there was a chick in it!
