Wow that settles it then !!! Overwhelmingly we will try these eggs. Like i said earlier, they have been laying since end February. Do you think its ok to eat the older eggs too? Its been cold the entire time outside.

Wow that settles it then !!! Overwhelmingly we will try these eggs. Like i said earlier, they have been laying since end February. Do you think its ok to eat the older eggs too? Its been cold the entire time outside.

"Cold" is a relative, but they should be ok. I always collected the goose eggs the same day they were laid and kept them refrigerated. They would keep at least four months (yes, four months!), although they did loose some weight from evaporation.

Crack each egg in a bowl and give it a sniff. If it smells fine, it is fine. If you detect even a slight off-putting smell, throw it out. A rotten egg smells like sulfur, which is like a really bad fart.

The white of a goose egg is more viscous than that of a chicken egg. You may have to scrape it out of the shell with a spoon or your finger. Also, it's more watery clear in color.

My gooses egg reminds me of a giant chicken egg nothing like my ducks eggs. Taste really good too.
