ebay auto feeder-I need a different container

I'm at work and unable to see the link to ebay or youtube, however, really wish I could see the darn thing.
Anyway, I built a treadle feeder out of half a piece of plywood and it might work for you and keep your feed dry. I got the idea from a BYC genius Gallo del Cielo.

Oh sorry-the feeder looks like this:

and it goes into a hole in the bottom of a bucket. At this point I'm not interested in building anything new. My husband is still working on the coop and he'll be really busy with harvest soon, and I can't build things on my own. Also if rain is getting into my bucket with the lid snapped on I think it would probably get into a wooden feeder too. I'm just hoping to find out if anyone has used any other type of container with this gadget with good results.
