EBAY FRAUD ON AMERACAUNA EGGS

That's terribly rude. Sadly people do what they want and don't consider how the owner feels. I hope you can get it removed. Ebay usually removes stuff that is in violation. Well sometimes. You might consider using a watermark.

I use this one.

seems to work pretty good. Most of my images on my byc page have a watermark from this software. It's free. It's not real attractive but does the job.

Just a note, ANY photograph taken is copyrighted automatically. The advantage to registering the copyright is an increased penalty for theft of the image.

(above is American law specific)

So after stealing your pics, and ending the auction early, what do you think his birds really look like?
It almost makes you want to contact the buyer because they are not getting what they saw!

If you look back a couple pages, you will see where I posted that the seller is "Not A Registered Member" of ebay anymore. Ebay has banished them.

Unless one wishes to file a suit of some sort against the former seller, there is nothing else that can be done.

It is downright rotten of people to steal images, and watermarking is a great way to protect them.

I missed a word- the actual status of former seller is "Not a registered user".

That's a great lesson for everyone here, ranchhand, and I know that some people here on BYC already do that. It's easily done with some very basic image editing software (go find some on VersionTracker, guys).

I'm closing this thread since it looks like the problem has been taken care of. The person who took the image learned a hard lesson, apologized, and will likely make better choices in the future.
