... I really want to use the Ecoglow 20 instead of a traditional heat lamp...But of course- it is more expensive. ...
My Brinsea Ecoglow wasn't cheaply made, operates on 18 watts and cost $75.00
A 250 watt heat lamp costs $11.00. So it will cost you almost 14 times more in electric, possible fire hazard and I've read that some heat lamps can give off toxic fumes.
So the Ecoglow will cost you more upfront, save you in operating costs and eliminate the disadvantages of a heat lamp.
