@Duckworth
Thank you for the explanation. Many thank's
We all have a a habit of short-handing word's. Including me..lol
So many of us don't know them. Better to ask than not know
understand what is meant.
No problem at all. So much better to ask. The first time I saw Sweet PDZ mentioned, I had no idea what it was, either.

I love PDZ! Except in the winter. Any other time it's fantastic. I just spread PDZ on the coop floor and scoop up the poop like you would kitty litter.

if you could tell me where to buy indian runners, i would LOVE to have some! i can have up to 3.

I love Metzer!

The Purina flock raiser is made for all birds. And I called the company to verify the niacin level since it isn't listed on the guaranteed analysis. It is 55 mg/kg.. which IS the appropriate amount to feed ducks and ducklings. I had no issues raising mine on it with oyster shell on the side.

So sorry for your loss! :hit :hugs

I always used the 20% protein flock raiser (free choice, not measured) and never switched. When they free range anyways, there is only so much control we have. :pop

I also use the sweet pdz sometimes. Shocking what a difference it made it my goat barn where I could remove bedding but not the dirt underneath! :thumbsup

I hadn't heard of PDZ til now, so I did some googling: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/p...9fyxzbf1FJhP0HHYf-HpuZhDrD8cWdmRoC3ncQAvD_BwE

It says it is safe and nontoxic. So it would be okay to put this down on the floor of the coop and then cover in straw? I will do deep litter method. The cleaned out bedding will be used in the garden.
