EDITED EMERGENCY! - What do you guys think? Please help!

So relatable! I really hope I can be there for my first quail hatch!
I've been adding some oil to keep moist and talking to it. I candled it every day as well.
Its really cool what you can see without some parts of shell!
I saw that the part I'm applying oil is the back/not the head part. You can also see the feathers, in the candling, so cool! I'll try to upload some pictures.

The air sac has gotten much bigger, hopefully it will hatch! :fl
The veining is still going strong though, can veining absorb overnight? (Or 24hours?)
veins can absorb in only a matter of hours. You should be able to see veins easy in the membrane once you add the oil to it as well. that should make them show up to the eye with no candling.

Thanks! Its been a couple of hours now, and they veining has become much less visible, but still a bit left.

The babys not moving anymore when I talk to it, could it possibly resting or dead-?
When I candle it looks fine.

If the veins are still visible, baby should just be resting. Give it time, at this stage there's nothing you can do but wait.
Fingers crossed all is well :fl

EMERGENCY, I've just added some layers, but it sees rather stiff and dry. The veining also looks dry.. should I assist? I don't think it can make it out by itself

Thanks! Did the membrane have veining?
I think I'll assist later today.
Depending what day youre on, if the veins have shrunk, you could assist

If you decide to assist, you're going to need to open a small hole in the air cell, candle first and be careful that the chick isnt in the way. Then use a clean screw and twist the tip against the shell, do not apply pressure, just gently work on the shell until you have a hole. Then chip away enough shell to find the beak. Moisten the membrane. As long as the veins have receded, create a small hole in the membrane next to the beak, very carefully.

Keep the membranes exposed moist.
Once you have gotten to this stage, take a break. Check on the chick, ensure it is breathing, and check for yawning or chewing motions. From there we can decide if it is ready.

Hi (from my alt)!
The egg is currently on Day 18, I haven't been able to check the egg as I'm not home, I'll be home in a hour, if veining is gone, 'I'll start the assist. Thanks so much for your reply, helped alot :)

I'm anxiously driving home, its a hour drive, my peers reckon the eggs dead, as no movement was shown and the eggs veining was really dry looking. Do veins become more dry/faint while absorbing?
I think I'll need to assist or the chick wont make it 😭
