I edited this because it isn't actually a brooder I need. It's a pen to allow them to grow out to 16 weeks at which time the snakes will leave them alone.
I'm asking a friend to build a stacked grow out pen for me. It's a favor so no labor cost. I'd like for it to be two pens, one on top of the other. Main priority is that it be absolutely snake proof, this is the only reason I'm asking for one to be custom built. I've search the web since last year. Currently I'm using a Midwest Critter Cage Double (6 sf) which is too small unless it's only 2 or 3 which is seldom the case anymore. I have an extra cages made from 1/2 inch hwc that is used for exercise time on grass. I like it very much though and may go with another one if the price of materials for this project exceed the cost of a new Midwest cage ($250 right now). But a rat cage as a chick pen does have its limitations, mainly size. I'd like for it to be 8 sf.
My second priority is that it have a removable tray for ease of cleaning.
