It is a different treatment, but I didn't want to confuse him right now. Scaly leg mites aren't gonna kill any of his birds, but a severe infestation of mites and/or lice could, so that needs to be addressed first.

Yes. Mix at 19-20 ml (4 teaspoons) per gallon, or 5 ml (1 teaspoon) per quart.

Yes- Staying home tomorrow as much as I can. I'm afraid of there being riots or possibly worse.
I sure hope cooler heads prevail but there are a lot of angry people.

That's a good idea, though, here I would be refilling them daily I think lol. I use something like this for my turkeys. I just set it up on a table in their coop.

I have an extra one laying around that I may start using for the chickens too. My homemade one works but it's raggedy.
Oh wow, unbelievable! Even when we lived down in the city, or polling station line would only take a half hour to get through at the most. Up here, it's shocking if you have to wait in a line at all. I can't even imagine a line like that!

I have very small flocks and only have to fill those pint containers about once a week. I rarely have a flock of over 10 to 15 birds but there can be as many as 9 flocks.

Que pasa?

Finally got this old laptop fixed, kinda. Put a new keyboard in it yesterday, all by my lonesome, almost. No more sticking keys! Couldn't get the cable to hook up right; had to go 30mi down the road to have my niece's DH fix it. Hopefully, it'll stay fixed for a while

Vote early & often!

Do not use good drawer liner! the holes are not big enough and its hard to get humidity to come up
use cheap dollar store liners! they are perfect AND cheap or just use baskets

awe thanks Mel! you are so nice, and thanks Sally! Mel, your offer to help me would be awesome, would you be able to help me maybe find one of these breeds? i can't really decide what breed i really want but i have always have had an interest in silkies, partridge silkies, and bantams (any kind). if you live anywhere where those breeds are found, let me know? because I've tried Meyer hatchery, my pet chicken and the store near me that has chickens won't know what kind they are getting until like, 2 weeks before they come. I'm not old enough for Facebook, but my mom has been looking a little bit but so far nothing. okay diatribe over lol!
Try ebay - I got most of my hatching eggs off ebay. There's a few show NPIP breeders on there who have nice birds. I pay 45 (including shipping) for 24+ hatching eggs.

shipping eggs have less hatch-rate, I have had a rough go with shipped eggs - but in my first batch, i got 5 to hatch - my son nuked that batch, so I was surprised any lived.

Out of the last 24 I got, 12 made it past day ten. I believe next week is lock down, so if I end up getting 5-6 out of what's left, i'd be happy!
