We voted at 8:30 this morn. #69 and 70.
Several people inside but no line. Chit chatted with everyone for awhile. Pleasant experience as usual.
I like small town

I'm leaving here in a few min; hoping to miss the vote-before-work crowd.

the precinct must have expected a heavy turnout, they had about 30 booths set up and voting took 30 minutes...

You'd better hold onto it; you may need it again some day, although I hope not. We have one, anyway; was either Dad's or MIL's. Probably Dad's since he lived with us the last year & a half before he died upstairs in the LR.

I donated it I think, I had no room and well lets just say I didn't need any mementoes :/

I'm familiar with Smithville. I have a couple friends that live up that way and in Kearney. They all work at Ford. I lived in Liberty while I worked there.
Are you close to the lake?

I'm with you on the paper ballot. I don't trust the machines either. Not sure if it helps but I figure with a paper ballot at least there is a physical record.

I'm excited about more people voting too. I remember the huge amount of voter apathy when I was younger.
It still sucks that less than 50% of the population votes. People don't understand what a privilege it is.

It's just a shame there is still voter apathy in non presidential years

They just have more poling machines per registered voter in West and South county precincts than they have in North county.

not near the lake, I have been stranded too many times to enjoy boating, two days that owning a boat is nice, the day you buy and the day you sell.

awwwww I dont know the story of this, but I have stories of manythings here, most of which I have stored now, I am too old to have so much clutter and pray one day the younger kids will appreciate all the old stuff I have collected.  The older sons are not so much sentimental like that, didnt want that kinda stuff for their new fancy houses
