I've always had my neighbour shoot sick birds, and that was the first way I thought of, but didn't know if it was a good idea.

My neighbor cut them as I caught them and we hung them on the round pen. It was quick. Especially, with my new sharp knife.

I mean when you shoot them in the head to kill them.

If you use a shotgun then it would be kinda similar to removing there head with a hatchet. With no head to get in the way, them bleeding out would be easy.

Or ya could use a hatchet and lop off there heads, or a samurai sword or even a set of loppers that you would use for trimming tree branches.

I thought about loppers, but my pair is so dull that even 1/2 inch diameter pine trees are hard for it.... Hatchet I'm worried about my aim.

Run them over with your car. Seems to work pretty well for killing deer around here.
