I just saw a tropical storm report on the Weather Channel. A Cat 1 hurricane is forecast to make landfall in Costa Rica - my favorite place. This will be the first direct hit in 174 years of records.
They get brushed with lots of tropical storms but never direct hits. There's a big difference between lots of rain and LOTS OF RAIN with 100+ MPH wind.
As mountainous as it is, landslides are sure to be a problem.
Looks like landfall will be Thursday morning. At least they won't be celebrating Thanksgiving.
