Hi Chicken Hawk! :frow

Cute, congratulations!

:woot
Awesome!

Brrrrr. not certain what my wind chill is supposed to be tomorrow.

Bummer, I hope it was only a one day strike!

Yes, how long ago did it hatch?

Thank you, this little one, who's now holding her head up much better, was hatched around 2:30

That is great. I hope for your sake their are more.

@Eruedraith:fl. Good luck with your quail. Nice to hear from you again. How are your older chicks?

Thank you! It's nice to be back. I've been flat out with helping building my parent's house, and general Christmas madness. Somehow I've been able to set and hatch a couple small batches in the midst of it all.

Ahh the fate of my first batch you ask??

Well. Out of all I got ONE pullet. She is doing very nicely.

We had a father and sons meal a while ago with our neighbors and ate the big daddy Sussex and two of the 4 cockerels out of the batch (they were unbelievebly tender and tasty) and as for the other two! A fox was rude and brave enough to come during the day and take them to "the grandparents farm".

It's SOOOOO slow!!!! I never thought the Naked Neck thread would be faster than this one!

Eating your own home grown chicken is the best way to go. Better then anything you could ever buy in a store.
